Housewolf Pack Policies
EVERY adult on the HP premises, participating or observing, must sign the 2025 Waiver.
Please do not arrive more than 3 minutes before your appointment time. Even if you stay inside your vehicle, it is a distraction to the client and dog before you. If you arrive early, you may park at the base of the driveway near the fork until you are within 3 minutes of your assigned time slot. Absolutely no idling car engines while you are on the dock.
Every dog must be current on their Rabies vaccination and Distemper/Parvo vaccination. The Leptospirosis vaccine is highly recommended. Be prepared to show proof of current vaccines if asked. Inability to show proof, without a letter from your veterinarian outlining a valid reason for not vaccinating your dog, if/when asked, may result in dismissal for the remainder of the season without a refund.
Refunds may be granted if the request is received at least 24 hours in advance of the activity’s start time. Requests received less than 24 hours in advance will not be granted a refund. *If your pet is ill, injured or in heat, a refund may be granted with confirmation from your veterinarian even if the request is received less than 24 hours before the activity’s start time.*
We will no longer be offering coupons to reschedule private pool time for inclement weather. It is your responsibility to cancel or reschedule at least three hours before your scheduled time if the weather is, or is expected to be, unfavorable here in Northern Erie. Keep in mind that if you decide to keep your appointment and you hear any thunder or see any lightning while on the property, you must pack up and leave immediately. You will not be refunded or offered a coupon to reschedule. *Orientations/lessons require 24 advanced notice to cancel or reschedule and will be rescheduled, with no fee or penalty, due to weather, if staff deems necessary.*
4% of total funds processed will be retained on refunds to cover processing fees. There are no fees for rescheduling.
The Housewolf Pack is located in a residential area and makes a conscious effort to be respectful neighbors. To that end, dogs are prohibited from barking continuously for more than three (3) minutes.
Please drive slowly when entering and exiting the property. Do not use our neighbor’s driveway as a turn around. Do not exceed 10 mph.
No smoking of any kind is permitted anywhere on the property.
No loose dogs. Dogs must be leashed (no retractable leashes permitted) or securely kenneled (no x-pens) unless they are within the confines of the fenced dock and pool area. Dogs may not run loose within the pool area while you work one on one with a dog. Both dogs must be actively participating OR one dog may be kenneled in your vehicle (in the shade with windows down and/or doors open with access to drinking water) and you may rotate dogs.
All corrective collars (prong collars, chains, choke collars, gentle leaders, slip leads, head halters, e-collars, etc.) must be removed while using the dock and pool. Corrective collars may be used until the dog enters the dock and pool area. Only flat collars, harnesses and life vests may be utilized on the dock and in the pool.
Adults may enter the pool to assist their dog(s). No minors are permitted in the pool at any time.
In an effort to maintain a clean pool, no food rewards may be used in the dock or pool area.
No more than two (2) dogs may be on the dock or in the pool at any given time without special permission from the owner.
Please allow your dog to shake off on the platform before stepping onto the dock portion to limit excess water.
Please allow your dog time to potty in the designated area before you enter the pool, halfway through hour long appointment slots and when you finish your appointment. Clean up after your dog. Poop bags and trash containers are available for disposal of fecal matter. Please do not allow your dog to urinate on the side of the pool, on any buildings, the picnic tables, benches, the pump or filtration system or car tires.
If your pet has an accident, you are responsible for proper clean up with the provided materials. Dogs who continually (3 or more times) eliminate (vomit, urinate, defecate) on the dock, ramp or in the pool will be dismissed permanently.
Keep your dog(s) away from all other animals on the property, including livestock, the barn cat and dogs belonging to other clients. Harassing resident animals and other client’s dogs will not be tolerated. Do not pet or feed any animal that does not belong to you. All animals, despite being typically friendly, can and may bite.
Children 8 years of age and older may participate in the sport with permission from a parent when the parent or legal guardian is present. Children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by an additional adult for supervision so that the main handler can focus on the dog(s).
Absolutely no forcing your dog(s) into the pool. No pushing, shoving or nudging your dog into the pool; No kicking, striking or abusive behavior towards your dog(s) will be tolerated.
Housewolf Pack and it’s representatives reserve the right to dismiss anyone from any activity or the premises in general for the mistreatment of dogs and/or inconsiderate or otherwise disruptive behavior. Failure to abide by any policy in this contract is grounds for permanent dismissal from HP.
