About the Owner

Being surrounded by animals has always been my happy place. I was drawn to animals as a child and took on responsibilities of our family dog at a young age. I found joy in walking, grooming and teaching our dog new tricks.

Shortly after earning my B.A. in Psychology, I worked as an Executive Assistant in Palo Alto, CA for a very popular start-up. Between the 2+ hours of commuting to work and sitting at a desk for 8-10 hours a day, I found very little sense of fulfillment. It was then that I realized that I needed to follow my interests more closely and I definitely couldn’t see myself sitting at a desk ever again. I left my career to work as a kennel attendant at my family veterinarian.

Being in a veterinary hospital was exactly where I needed to be! I was quickly promoted and grew to love medicine and being a hands on part of healing. I spent the next several years working in general practice with dogs, cats and exotic animals. Later, I worked in the Emergency Department of an excellent specialty hospital. This was where I shined the brightest. I absolutely adored working emergency even with the tragic parts. I left this position to move to Colorado at the end of 2019, however I still do occasional relief work.

After I adopted Nala in 2016, I had tried to introduce her to swimming and dock diving and it was not her thing. When I added Beretta to my home, it became clear she was a natural born fish. She loved swimming immediatly and easily took to jumping off the dock. Together, we fell in love with the sport and it became a dream of mine to open a facility.

Housewolf LLC was established in January of 2020! In June of 2020, we bought a 4 acre property in Erie where we have started a small farm. Resident animals include two beautiful, sassy and sometimes boisterous German Shepherds, two house-cats, one giant lovable barn cat, two goats, thirty+ chickens, a bee hive and a rabbit colony.

I also have a special passion for rescue and often have foster animals. I continue to sit on the board of a California based German Shepherd rescue and enjoy volunteering regularly.
