About the Owner
I have spent my whole life around dogs. I grew up right here in Weld County, on a horse ranch, where in addition to equine care, we ran both dog grooming and dog breeding businesses. Being surrounded by puppies was a wonderful way to grow up! Since then, I have always been a dog lover, but also love my other pets which have included cats, snakes, rabbits, and of course, my horse Jewel.
My recent history with animal care includes 5+ years of work experience at a variety of local dog care operations. At Longmont Humane Society, I worked on the canine side and quickly rose to higher-level dog training with shelter animals. I worked with behavior cases of varying degrees, and still hold many of them close to my heart, including my foster dog, Hawke.
After LHS, I moved to Uptown Dog, a behavior-focused boarding and training facility in Longmont. There, I expanded into the dog-social side of things, group settings, and new ways that dogs can learn and excel. And, of course, I expanded into the animal care community in Longmont, making many great friends who have also become invaluable resources for finding the best solutions to my canine challenges!
Most recently, I have worked in Vet-Med including both veterinary care and emergency animal hospitals. I learned a lot about dog health and care, and also found passion to work more with behavior concern animals that just needed a second chance.
It was with great luck that I ran into Housewolf Pack at a time of change, and am excited about our mission to promote canine outdoor swimming and dock diving.
